Abyss Bowls

Thrown Stoneware, Ceramic glaze and underglaze

At the end of the 2021 spring semester, I was was bogged down with finals and so much other work that i just wanted to take a nice simple approach to our bowl project. I chose to focus on the two most opposite and most similar things we live between, space and the ocean. Both nearly infinite abysses that are incredibly difficult for humanity to access. The breadth and shear simplicity and the complexity and vitality of the sea represented in tactile forms.
