As an artist, one of my common themes is using the 4 elements in wester culture; Air, Fire, Earth, and Water. These can also be symbolised in the 4 seasons, as with this set of cups and pouring vessel. I wanted to keep the contrast yet bring all for contrasting points together. To effectively achieve this, I chose to make a pouring vessel with 4 handles and 4 spouds, each section corresponding with a mug. Each mug has its own story too, showing a progression of growth and change from season to season.
