When we were tasked with creating a multisensory object in the spring of 2022, i knew i had to channel my synesthesia for this project. Synesthesia, if you are unfamiliar, is the blending of senses in the brain. For this I focused on my Olfactory-to-Visual synesthesia to carefully craft a set of 3 vases that look like what i see when i smell 3 custom scents; which i made at local bath and body store. This was also the time i was beginning to experiment with mixing my own glazes, as seen in the in-progress photos. This piece was also shown in the 2022 Clay Club exhibition at Kutztown University.
